This places Eovaldi as the third-highest paid starting pitcher on the Rangers’ roster heading into the 2023 season, trailing behind Jacob deGrom and Martin Perez. Additionally each year of the contract features a $3 million bonus if Eovaldi achieves 160 innings pitched—an accomplishment he has reached twice in his career.

If Eovaldi logs a combined 300 innings in 2023 and 2024, he can activate a $20 million option for the 2025 season, accompanied by an additional $3 million in potential bonus earnings.
